😠 Very bad tech support and worse handling
The people who run the servers appear to be of very low quality. They don't understand proper logging, forensic analysis, etc.

Their tech support is lackluster and lazy. They lack in depth knowledge of server and processes.

Worst of all, there seems to be no way to escalate problem to capable hands and heads.

A very bad experience.

I have hosting account from last 3 years with webhostingworld and so happy with their super server stability. They have migrated my whole website from my old host at free of cost and got my site working without any downtime such super guys they are !

They are having cheap plans but still servers are super fast . Like their fast servers , support is quick and to the point.
I hardly face downtime twice of few mints from last 3 years.
Control panel is easy to access.
Technical staff helps me calmly as I am unaware about many things.

😠 This company is a scam. First they use 2CO.Com as their CC processor. When you hit "submit" it gives you an error.
Via chat the fake operators "Linda" and "Pam" tell you they are having problems with merchant account and to use PayPal.
PayPal went through fine, everything thing seemed legite.
No email for access to cPanel or FTP, hence we can not host our domain. No DNS info. Again went to chat, they said submit a ticket but would not allow me to do so. Email support, they played dumb. Claimng they didn't understand what I was asking. I finally just asked for a refund. They asked why then no response. Emailed multiple times requesting refund. No response. Toll free number, bogus, local number in San Jose, bogus. Filed complaint with BBB in San Diego, they can't locate the company. I go back to their website 3 days later and o into chat using a different name and and ask for a phone number for technical questions. "Linda" responds again about their groth and how great they are. 😠 Worst and scam company ever
Friends rating on this thread is either 5 star or 1 star most of times. This indicates that 5 star reviews are made by this webhostingworld.net company so these are fake positive reviews.

My experience with WebHostingWorld.net is horrible. I registered & hosted a website at WHW. I took lots of efforts to build backlinks and managed to get around 200 daily visits from Google. Suddenly, on one day my domain expired although I already paid 4 years in advance. I made requests to them many a times to activate my domain through support tickets and live chat but they never activated domain. They removed tickets without reply. Ultimately, I lost my domain because it was deleted from ICANN and registered by some other company (within a couple of minutes after deletion because I was trying every 5 minutes to register) after 81 days. I was very much frustrated because I am beginner in this field and my 2 years of hard work go wasted.

webhostingworld.net is no more good service provider. Since last 6 months I faced problems with webhostingworld.net.

I will never advise anyone to move or buy domain/space from webhostingworld.net. I will give 1 rating out of 5.

I did register many domain with webhostingworld.net, since they are cheap and up time was good. Now I am not getting good response, webhostingworld.net is facing some issue in domain name registration since last 6 months.

When you will talk executed asked about problem in registering domain they convince you that there is no problem. After registration you will get to know that your sire is not up even after 48 hours while executive commit for 13 hours.

If you do not believe just go and register your domain/space.
I experienced this problem twice with them, I thought its long time and they may have resolved there problem.

My website had been out for 1 week they did a wrong configuration from there side and don´t fixed it for on week.

I asked my money back, now it´s completed one month. they closed my ticket and don´t gave my money back.

The billing support never reply the ticket about the money back, they changed the subject saying that they are solving the issue on the hosting and nothing else… I don´t know more what to do… if somebody have a suggestion please e-mail me.

I am so pleased with Webhostingworld reseller hosting and Webhostingworld service. I have used two different resellers that talk and say they provide 24 hr. service. To find out it took 3-5 hours to get back with not complete answers that would take 2-3 replies before finishing task. Webhostingworld custoemr support was able to transfer all my files and existing sites over within the first day. They even replied back on a holiday. No better service and price for the My Reseller Hosting any where.

If there are any rating for this company it would be a 2 out of 10. We have 2 sites with this company and have had over 96 problems that we had documented in less than 6 months. Their billing department is another issue, they will forget about the payments you submit for domain newal or hosting services. Allow your site to be downed for so called non payment issues, when the invoices are cleary marked as paid.

If your running a business that generates income for you, stear clear away from Webhosting world. These webhostingworld guys are the best. Whenever I have an issue, there's someone who can help you figure it out and they are always patient and helpful. Their hosting packages are priced exceptionally for what you get, and I've had a total of 5 minutes of server down-time in the two years I've had an account. Webhostingworld.net's cpanel is light years ahead of my last host. It is a hugely useful cpanel. I especially like the Awstats. It not only gives you all sorts
of traffic statistics for your site, but it also shows 404 link errors and other such errors. Adding subdomains and other such stuff is a breeze.

I've only called support once. They answered right away and fixed the problem right away.

I've been with Webhostingworld.net network for roughly 2 and half years, with 8 sites hosted with them, and more to come.

Their uptime and reliability is phenomenal! Over the years I've hosted with them, there's only 2 instances that I can recall unscheduled outages. Obviously, like all hosts they have scheduled outages for updates and all, but those don't count. Their uptime is great! I know I can always count on my sites being online, which is a great feeling.

The speed of their servers are very fast. I'm currently working on a CRM for a roofing company, and we have some very extensive, and heavy, MSQL queries + PHP functions and all that good stuff, and their servers handle them with no problem! Whether you need just a static site, or a dynamic site, their servers are fast enough to handle what you need!

Their 99.9% uptime is a joke! You will have to monitor your site on a 15 minute basis to see if its stil up.

😉 They stole my entire hosted data
I had very high opinion about WHW, I have issued openhearted testimonials for them, I referred many customers to them. But after a long and good relationship, one day they suspended my account telling me that my SQL was consuming too much server resource. It was a simple wordpress installation on a personal domain, it was there for over 2 yrs - it never had complains.

They repeatedly kept telling me to buy dedicated server. Okay, when I asked them to give me access to download my data, they simply ignored all my requests. The company which I trusted for a long time suddenly stole all my data when they saw that I didn't buy dedicated server from them. Its pathetic, when a trust is broken.

I never knew Webhostingworld.net is a thief in disguise! Wherever I've posted testimonials, I am taking them back. I won't say 'dont host with them' but I'll definitely say that take backups as soon as you update site. Or, be prepared to loose your entire data. Choice is yours!

I am just a hobbyist and website building is not my profession. I choose Webhostingworld.net because of its cheap Hosting feature. The CPanel offers a lot, more than I can use. I made a trial and error intallation, I tried Joomla, b2evolution, wordpress phpnuke, and many others. Installation and unsinstallation are just a click of a button. My site is very young and I am new to this website development. Anyway, I only paid $12 per year for my first experience of trial and error. No problem encountered so far with my Bronze package.

😞 They are hosting me two websites (both of them for about two-three years).
Good things:
- Cheap
- Relatively good uptime.

Bad things:
- One of the sites was unreachable for some days. I did opened a ticket and (after a loooong list of replies), when the site get back on-line, I saw that I have lost some posts and some files.
- Horrible Customer Support. I asked them about the missing files and posts and they didn't have any answer from them. They seem to have some standard answers and it feels like talking to a robot.
- They issued an invoice for this year, even I payed last year for an Biennial Cycle

😠 I tried them out for a temporary host because they were so cheap, but the old adage "you get what you pay for" really applies here. Their control panel was awkward, their tutorials were pointless, and they refused to return my money after I asked for my "guaranteed" money back for less than satisfactory results. I'm still fighting them through paypal for that. (Also, my site, if you notice, is now hosted through a decent host, rather than that nightmare.)

I am only 16, and this is the first hosting account that I have had, that ive paid for. Before with hosting, I used to have a friend who could talk me through the stuff on the cPanel and domains ets. But I don't really talk to that friend anymore as he is not active on MSN. So now i have to do things on my own, and find them out for myself.

I find that the livechat is very helpful. I usually talk to Margaret, and she is very helpful. There are also other operators that are equally helpful, but Margaret is the main operator to which I talk to - And a very good job she is doing, I must say.

Emailing customer services or one of the other departments is another method which I have tried, when I know I wouldn't have time to sit and talk to an operator on livechat. I have emailed both support and billing, and from both of them reciever a reply within 1-2 [read more...]

😁 I set up a website for a small non-profit organisation 6 months ago, trying WebhostingWorld.net for the first time. I'm very impressed with the features, ease of use, reliability and above all, price. I've only had to use support once, and got the answer I needed in about 20 minutes.

The people who are dissatisfied seem to fall into 2 groups:-

1. They know so little they probably shouldn't be trying to set up a website, and they expect the host to tell them what to do. Like when you hire a car, you don't expect free driving lessons do you?

2. They are running large ecommerce organisations and are trying to get hosting on the cheap, when they really need a dedicated server service.

For a small business, a non-profit club or society, or a personal website, I recommend WebhostingWorld.net

😉 I host a couple of domains with WebHostingWorld. One that I use just for a family email address, and for that purpose they are fine.

Unfortunately, my other use is to have a backup site for my photographs - all JPG files with the occasional AVI recorded on my camera. Twice now I have uploaded approximately 20 Gb of data to their "unlimited" storage accounts, and after almost a week of uploading in each case, the entire site contents has been deleted.

When I contact support they reply saying that they have reset the account so that I can now log on, but there is no mention of where the data went. When I specifically asked they said "We have checked and unable to locate the PhotoBackup folder on the server under your account. We haven't made any changes for your account. Please upload the files by creating the same folder for further needs.

😠 Good sides: 24x7 chats, good control panel, best price ($12/year).
Bad sides: it is impossible to restore/backup MSSQL database. Datacenter admins have low technical level. I sent them db backup, but they can not attach it correct - firstly they send me incorrect login/info, later they gave me correct info, but when I tried to connect, I got message 'user should change password' but I can not to do it due to limited premissions. Between any changes with db there was 12-24 hours pauses. Operators in chat have not possibility to resolve any problems even with my detailed explanations how to do it, so looks like datacenter living by own life.

So, if problem with database will fixed, this service will be really good.

One more thing - there on site written about 600000 customers and 12845 from Ukraine, but I think it is not true.

😞 The $1.00 per month price is a bargain, and I have experienced very few uptime issues. The only ongoing problem is their SMTP. I have found I am black listed with a number of mail servers in spite of MANY requests. This is almost certainly caused by users taking advantage of this cheap hosting and publishing dubious sites which exist purely to send out spam.
If webhostingworld would enforce some simple measures to stop spam being sent through their servers they would be the perfect hosting choice.

😠 Stay away, just got all my perfectly legal .rar archives deleted, the works of my forum members wiped out from one day to another, without a warning an email.. nothing. I opened a support ticket asking where my files were gone, the reply was: "We do not allow .rar files on our servers so it has been deleted by our admin while auditing the servers."
This is not written anywhere, not in the TOS, nor anywhere, this is simply insane, you are not allowed to host archive files (.zip and .rar), video files, whatever.. what is the meaning of 100s gb of space and bandwidth if all you can host are plain .html/.asp/.php pages and normal .JPG?
But what is worse, how do they dare to delete all my(yours) files without telling you a word?
There was also a thread in their support forums, that just got deleted, RIGHT NOW, where other users were complaining about their totally legit archive files being deleted. Way to go webhostingworld.net, now censoring your customers!

😞 Customer service is quick to respond and professional. Control panel and features are almost up to par with GoDaddy. I can't complain about the price. However, server stability is something that has been driving me up the wall.

I constantly get a Network Timeout, even after customer service had tried to add my local IP to their firewall exception list and other stuff they did I am not aware of.

The service is good if you're going to do some simple web work, but don't expect the service to be up to par when you need it for heavier web development.

😁 Very good price. Got their bronze plan to start out. Webhostingworld.net does not have 99.9 uptime, I used hyperspin, and it detected that my website is up 98.6-99.8%, I have never seen it be 99.9%.
Today, I decided to look online for reviews, since my website has been down for 25 minutes today, just wanted to tell you, that this is a great host, with great support, but when you tell support your website keeps going down, they say "we have told our team, this will never happen again" then the next day, or a few hours later, it happens again. Be ready for downtime.

Good value if you don't mind your site going down for days with no clue on how to prevent it. Either that or you have to monitor your site daily. And still, it goes down. You go online to requerst for help. They fix it. Rinse, repeat. Oh, and just use the chat feature to fix your problem. Forget about the troubleshooting ticket. 😁 I signed up with Webhostingworld.net because I needed cheap hosting service. I had no idea that I would get so much for the price. I have more disc space and bandwidth than I could ever use, unlimited email accounts, an extremely easy control panel. Template sites and logos are also available along with many other features that I would probably never need but it is comforting to know that they are there regardless and at such a low price. I may not have a lot of experience with other hosts but I can't imagine there are many out there that offer this kind of value!

😠 I signed up for the starter reseller package and oh boy what a mistake signing up with these. Servers are down daily (honestly) all my tickets were referencing downtime which they were closing without replying or worse deleting my ticket submission without reply. I never got the confidence to advertise my site as I knew I'd be in for a hard time from potential customers. They have some great features but can't deliver, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! I'm after my money back now. My experience very much mirrors osama's comments.

I am now fighting for my money. let me tell you something more.. i was in bangkok for a business trip and since my coi is india i was looking at the indian rates... this old hustler dont know how come she hacked my computer while chatting with her and then says tht my ip address is a fraud. can u believe after saying so they used my credit card details and are not paying me back. i have declined the payment . i know it will be a long fight... but i will get them right... 😠 this is the worest hosting company in the world.

i was fascinated by the little price and the big features, i have bought a reseller account on their servers and im complaining since i reserved my account since 3 months because of :
1-weak servers-cannot handle all ur requests,
2- short FTP timeout sessions.
3-no resume at broken uploads becuase of timeout,
4- unproperly configured servers,
5-bad technical support, you wait and wait on online chat and no one reponds
6- The server repeatdly blocks your IP in your Normal upload and kicks your out for some hours, they configured it to block any heavy use- they define heavy in a different way
7- Really what i get so far, bad reputition for my company's websites and a dozen of angry clients in my reseller account.

i told all of this to protect any person from this company, don't don't don't deal with them and pray for me to leave them and get my money baack
