😠 Although hosting is fine, customer service is terrible. No one ever answers the phone and they don't return voice mails. I'm ready to transfer my domain to another hosting service.Another service will be just as good, but will also answer calls.

😁 Hosted for 5 years (still do) and no complaints. Fast servers, shell account, compilers, no downtime that I ever see. Support is fast (sometimes amazingly fast like a few minutes) and always knowledgable. Took them a while to add VPS's but they have them now (not used yet).

😁 I am very happy. Hosted for probably two years and no complaints at all. I've had other hosts before and also one other currently and phpwebhosting is the best in my opinion. I have the other accounts from projects I inherited. As soon as the contracts are up I'm sure all move them all to phpwebhosting provided I have the time.
All my contact with support has been great. I would guess and hour or two for a response? I have had really quick replies when it was something small (less than 10 minutes). I think it really depends on what the request is about. Number one for me is that I can tell the replies are all real. No cut and paste or form letter replies.
Price is good enough for me. I've saw cheaper but not really so sure about the companies behind those prices. I think $10 a month is low enough. My main site is not really a business but I hope it will be some day (blogging ad income) so I'm not going to cheap out on it.

😁 my third host and finally a keeper. #1 for me is if the server runs smooth and theirs do. i could care less about 800 numbers and all that. both of my last hosts were more polished but the actual speeds were horrible at worst aind usually very jumpy (slow then fast).
i did call phpwebhostings 800 number once and the guy was very nice and got me sorted out quickly. the email based support or tickets as they call them seems pretty quick too. i'd say a few hours for a reply but the important thing for me is the replies always made sense. at my other two former hosts i could easily tell that the replies were just some cut and paste nonsense that usually had nothing to do. i can tell the support at phpwebhosting actually read my question and wrote something that was actually helpful.
i hope this saves somebody some time wasted with another host.

😉 I used phpwebhosting for over 6 years. They have been around since 1999.
They were great at the beginning but I think their greed has gotten the better of them.
They now host 500-700 web pages on a server which is ridiculous. Trying to access a phpwebhosting website is a nightmare since the downtimes and the slow loading times are horrendous.
When you complain to them about the load pages the support staff (which take 3-5 days to respond to an "emergency" tagged email request) usually blame their customers for the loading times. Isn't that great??
Furthermore, a while ago one of the support staff "accidentally" deleted all of my mySQL database information. He didn't even apologize. Nothing was given to me in return.
The other annoying thing is that when your site goes down, they don't even notify you (the webmaster) that your site is down. This includes if they disable the site. So if you go away on vacation and your site is down you have no idea how long it [read more...]
