Before transfer, you must confirm each order by code sent to SMS; but all you could not receive SMS, then they have a system of forms, you must sign 1 domain per form then send to them, they would check and approve the forms manually within 24-48 hrs.
After transfered, all domains changed to their default DNS but all other DNS records still be kept, so a big problem come: when you need to change DNS, an approving email would be sent to the previous registrar's privacy email that you could not access, and the previous registrar also did not send to you.
So you must contact support to sign many other forms, now you must attach your passport/driver license, ... to verify
one.com should be rebrand to one-domain-with-multiple-forms.com

😠 Never, ever, work with this company. I have been with them for 6 years, they have all kinds of tricks to increase your yearly subscription offering basically the same, they force you to buy antivirus in order to keep your website working but once I moved out my hosting I never had any virus problems... Customer Service is nearly non-existing. Now I am trying to move my second hosting and they do not answer my emails, they delay answering for days... A big NO.

I then discovered one.com WILL NOT let you change the name servers on your account! They ask you to send a written request with the name servers you wish to use, and only then they will change them for you. When I discovered that I went ballistic and demanded immediate cancellation of my account with the transfer code for my domain, so I could register it with another company. Strangely enough, they have been quite cooperative on the last issue and let me transfer my domain to another registrar with no more hassle. That was the only positive point with them. You have been warned. Stay as far as you can from these people, they are crooks!

😠 been with them for 3 years. Didn't tell me I had to cancel 7 weeks in advance of renewal, I'm now stuck with this website for another year. They initially charge you £9 for the free service for set up telling you that you don't need to pay the £16 annual domain and hosting charge but when it's time to renew it'll cost you £23.76. Bad hosting all around. I only used it as testing site and kept it up for the purposes of more testing. all in all not happy with them. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

If you do not pay this unfair (and illegal) full years subscription they will send the claim to a collection agency (inkasso), and then to the state collection (kronofogden).
This act is not legal in Eu, and also cable company in Sweden some years again got into trouble over the same issue. This practice is considered not to be in the consumers interest. One.com is fully aware of this but choose to ignore it and prey on the fact that most people do not know how to deal with the collection agency and just pay the fee. If you find yourself in this situation, simply state to the collection ageny in writing or fax, or by writing on and faxing back the [lee mas...]

😃 I'm using one.com for years, have 5 sites hosted with them, always like them very much but now I'm going professional I learn that they are missing few professional options. They allow access to your database not via your own program but only via their own time consuming interface, and not allow www prefix for a subdomain which makes me loose potential customers. Customer service however is excellent.
The reviews below however are all total nonsense. One.com control panel is designed so that everybody can use it, it can't be more simple. Their 24/7 live chat support even for non-customers (!) is very, very good, they really do what they can to help you, at least for me they always do. Account related trouble below must be because of neglectance and ignorance or of this people themselves.

😠 The hosting offer is total crap. The control panel is one of the worst I have ever used and if this is not enough they did updated the PHP version to 5.3 without giving the choice of using 5.2. As the website I was running was in Drupal and this CMS is not fully compatible with 5.3 the site was not running anymore. Really bad connexion speed to the servers. It is one of the worst hosting providers out there.

😠 On the surface they look nice and easy. Under the surface they have an endless amount of flaws and are dishonest as well. They will try to steal your domain if they can, by dragging the process of transfer to an infinite.
I am on my 4th week of having my domain transferred. A process that normally takes 5 business days to complete. At this point I have contacted a lawyer to get the domain.
I recommend to avoid this host. There are other much better hosts out there, that are also honest.

I've been trying to resolve my issue with two sites I don't use and, even though, I gave notice to cancel their terms and conditions are very unfriendly. 😠 I started a website with one.com which I subsequently abandoned, paying for one years web-hosting at the start. 18 months later I got a bill from one.com for a second years hosting which I never agreed to (they say in was in the terms and conditions- who reads all them????), they had been sending correspondance to an email address I was no longer using. Their bill also included a £10 reminder fee. My web site had been abandoned with no activity for over 15 months but they automatically renewed my subscription and are now threatening me with more "reminder fees". You cant contact them directly on the phone and I keep getting lots of automated emails from them which I find threatening. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. I have contacted trading standards and citizens advice
