😠 Steadily gouging their customers while provide less support. Linode days are numbered. Avoid at all costs.

Really bad customer support.
I work in international company and when I tried to use my credit card from a ip not in the USA the Linode Support Team (Julianna T.Linode Customer Support), cancelled my account loosing my history and access to order nodes.
They just gave no reason

😠 É bom, é rápido, mas não tem suporte, ao cliente, em relação a configuração do servidor. Eu consegui configurar, mas meu site não abre em celulares, devido a uma configuração, que eu não consegui fazer. O suporte não ajuda em nada. só te mostra links de tutoriais. Sinceramente falando: eu não recomendo a ninguém.
It's good, it's fast, but it does not support the client in relation to the server configuration. I managed to set up, but my site does not open on mobile phones due to a setting, which I could not do. The support does not help at all. Just shows you links of tutorials. Honestly speaking: I would not recommend it to anyone.

Their solutions are designed for web developers or app developers. Linode has a strong reputation over the world with more than 800K customers from 196 countries. They say that their mission is to make cloud servers easier, more accessible and more cost-effective.
Tools for development, deployment and scalability provided by Linode are all oriented, as they claim, towards a faster running of customers’ websites.
Linode offers SSD storage for their plans, 40 Gbps network, backup of information and data, as well as tools to help you improve as a web developer.
💰 Price & Cost
Prices at Linode are pretty accessible for customers. They use the flat pricing system in trying to stop customers from worrying that they might have to pay extra money for any purchase they make. Servers are calculated depending on the amount of transfer, storage, CPU or RAM you choose. There are two paying options for users: monthly or hourly.

Having their own control panel can be both an advantage and a disadvantage as many customers who have some experience with web hosting usually prefer well-known control panels with which they are already familiar. First of all, the plan prices listed on here are totally wrong. The smallest plan (~$20 a month) is for a 512.
Through personal hobby, work and freelance jobs, I've worked with and managed a variety of sites on a myriad of shared/VPS/dedicated hosts. I'd have to say that Linode rises above all of the others. Performance is great, they offer a ton of features, and they're quick to respond to tickets.
I've had bad hosts that went down constantly, and I've had good hosts that went down once in a while. I've never had any host (even giants like Rackspace and MT) be issue free. Stuff happens at the datacenter, stuff happens at ISPs, stuff happens at places that will disrupt your service. I'd say contant crashes at the level of the other reviewer are a personal issue of not knowing how to manage your system.

😁 I've been with them going on 3 years now and they are excellent. I've tried a number of hosting providers and VPS providers which do not come close to Linode. Linode is the next best thing (in many cases better) to having your own hardware in a colo. If you're looking for easy click install fully managed provider you're out of luck. They provide the environment with very easy tools to create your VPS, but the OS, Apps and security is your responsibleness. This gives you full flexibility and power. I boot strapped a complete Gentoo system and I'm happy as a clam.
They have great support, very reliable and a very stable environment. The support forums are also excellent and a great source of information.

😠 Linode is the worst VPS provider in the land folks and that is no joke. I have two of their systems and one crashes like ever other 2 days and the other just restarts by itself after having no real activity on it. The support is far from what people claim it is. You often get token answers and ALL OF THEIR KERNELS SUCK BAD.
I'm just so surprised that no on is really speaking out about it and I have noticed that Linode shuffles around the forum posts where people complain and the thread gets REALLY long in the Suggestion/Success stories section of the forum. Stay away if you want to do something more than just run a webserver. If the webserver needs to be on a system that needs to be up 24/7 go elsewhere because it wont be long before you are out in the code wondering what happened.
The newest Newark data center sucks the worst. Linode should have stopped at the West Coast because everywhere else in between is horrible. Atlanta data center sucks, Texas does also.
