😠 Unprofessional and very poor service
I tried to clear my doubts before going for a purchase. So I emailed them but they said, cannot answer my questions because i just didn't register for an account. WTF? Other hosting such as register.lk is much better they reply immediately this lankahosting took so long to response.

this is not a direct web hosting provider, it's an agent company. They get the servers from www.hostmaster.com.But it's not a problem for me since it's cheaper than buying directly from www.hostmaster.com or any other overseas hosting service.
But it takes forever to activate the hosting package and domain name after making the payment.

😁 The best and most reliable hosting service based in Sri Lanka. I'm working with Lanka host team for since 2010 and they help me manage over 30 domains, hosting accounts, and servers. During this time we faced several tech difficulties and it is very common but the best thing about Lankahost is they always respond very quickly and solve the problems. 😠 Slow service. Takes 2-3 days to update name servers (still pending and site not found since Friday 2/8/2019). This would take only 2-4 hours with Dreamhost 67.205.11.190

We are cooperating with Lanka Host since 2012. It took some time to find the perfect setting for our requirements. After these issues were discussed and settled, we have reached a situation that is close to perfection. We are running two domains on a BIZ 1GB hosting package and I am more than satisfied with the solution. Even though I am living now temporarily in Germany I have decided to continue the work with Lanka Host. Our visitors from many different countries throughout the world can reach their servers in the US without any problems. The response times are fast and we have no notable server downtimes. When problems arise Lanka Host reacts always promptly, even in the night. We think that their recommendations for our work are customer-oriented. Considering the price for the provided services, it would be difficult to find the same performance in Europe.

😠 It took them to setup my mail hosting server more than one week to work everything properly (advertised 24 hours)! And after one month test it does not deliver all my e-mails. Some of them was delayed for more than 7 days or not delivered at all. They advertise 30 days money back guarantee. But if there is any issue they just replied that it does not apply for my service - actually I think that it does not apply for any they provide. You have to buy your own cPanel licence - which is $10/month up to your bill - I didn't get any notice about that during the checkout... Don't use their services. I would absolutely not recommend it.

😁 After having sent two customer reviews earlier (Ratings #22043 and #22058) it's now time to report the latest experience with LankaHost Web Hosting.
It took a longer period until we have found a suitable environment for my two blogs about a Chinese chess player. The Wordpress blogs have a lot of multimedia content and during chess tournaments sometimes also a high traffic. We have tried out different setups and finally we have found a solution that fits perfectly for the website without overloading the server of Lanka Host. After the problems in the beginning the people of LankaHost were always friendly trying to find the best solution for me. When it was clear that the choice of a virtual server would not bring the expected boost for the performance of the blogs, they even recommended to choose a cheaper solution that I am using until now.
I am at the moment fully satisfied. I will return to Germany for several months for a medical treatment and despite the interesting offers [read more...]

So I am only using what they have offered and for what I have paid: Wordpress-Hosting. They have explained me that there is nevertheless violation of server resources. I can't verify that. However, since they are discussing very openly, I would like to remove the rating # 22043. I don't want to damage their reputation. Fact is that you can't compare the business practices of Sri Lanka with those in European countries. That's the main problem.

😠 Lankahost has a very aggressive sales promotion
The service is too expensive, has outdated server technology and a very aggressive sales promotion. In my case they wanted me to choose a VPS environment for a simple Wordpress Blog for 1.000 LKR/Month. Neutral persons told me that an isolated shared hosting doesn't know these problems. After I didn't agree to purchase the new hosting plan they confronted me with all kinds of technical details that should prove an abuse of the shared service to pressurize me. Since this behavior is not conform with civilized business practices I decides to change the hosting service. There was no money refunded.
