In2net Chooses EdgeTech for Security - EdgeTech Services (edgetechservices.com), a developer of enterprise security solutions, announced on Tuesday that it has signed a one-year agreement with In2net Network (in2net.com), a colocation and Web hosting provider, to provide it with intrusion prevention systems (IPS). Under the agreement, EdgeTech will also provide 24x7 support.
EdgeTech implemenets intrusion prevention technology from Top Layer Networks (toplayer.com). Last year, dedicated hosting specialist EV1Servers (ev1servers.net) deployed Top Layer solutions in its facilities.
"Edgetech brings together a combination of best-in-class security technologies and the expertise to support the implementation and beyond," says Leo Lam, Network Administrator at In2net Network. "While IPS is still a relatively new technology in the security arena, Edgetech has proven that it already has the depth of knowledge required to maximize the efficiencies and effectiveness of an IPS infrastructure."

😁 I moved from Godaddy shared hosting to a in2net VPS (budget plesk) and so far my experience has been very pleasant. I did have a 4-hour downtime once (from 2 am - 6 am)! Furthermore their customer support is not so good ~ they take anywhere from 10 minutes to 12 hours to reply to your queries (based on the 2 questions I asked them in the beginning), needless to say, I didn't need much customer support. They're a fairly new VPS hosting provider so their rates (as of now) are dirt cheap ($9.95/month). My other stuff like firewall, email, and ftp works flawlessly, and my website loading time has decreased dramatically; it feels so good to host on a dedicated ip. I'm very pleased with their service and have signed up for one year.
