๐ Gandi will not help you. If you don't know how to do something they will not give useful assistance. Their "documentation" instructs you to click on links or tabs that do not exist. The methods they tell you to use do not work. I have had my sites hosted by them for years and it only got worse. I am presently trying to transfer my websites and domain name registrations to another host IF I CAN FIGURE OUT HOW TO. I wish I had never used gandi.

Unluckily there is nothing we can do to accelerate this delay, as the domain name is activated by the registry.

I've hosted with Gandi for 2 years. I even moved some family and businesses over to Gandi as well.
I tried to do a simple domain transfer for one of my int'l .jp domains because Gandi overcharges for them ($90 yr).
My new registrar tried for 10 days to get it transferred from Gandi. Gandi email support is a joke. They email every 2 or 3 days to say its "in process".
The first Gandi email tried to argue that Gandi was not a reseller for a Japanese registrar and to send the transfer request to Gandi only. My new registrar and JPRS had to verify that they were indeed only a reseller! So requests had to be made to their parent Japanese registrar.
Why they did not know that is beyond me! After 11 days (1 day before the transfer expired), it finally went through!
After this fiasco, I tried to transfer a .com away from them too. It's still sitting in my Gandi control panel 5 days later! I have no idea if they are just insanely slow or what, but this is pretty ridiculous for [read more...]

๐ This happened last week when i tried to buy a dedicated pop email hosting service from Gandi.net through the Mozilla Thunderbird email platform. What happened is they charged me around 3.97 Euros (excluding Vat. Around 6 Dollars were deducted from my Visa card and the order was put on hold. Now 6 days have passed and the order is still not processed. I sent them an email and now they r saying they have not received the money although it was long gone from my card and never been returned. Anyone else experienced such scamming from Gandi or is it just me??

My user name after extensive exploration turned out to be my "instance number". I guess making that up pleased them. There was NO control panel of the sort other web hosts have. No help on weekends. No useful help at other times. I was left with no available website after many hours of effort on my part and received no help. I paid them money and got nothing.

I have been in the IT market since 1995, so: I am not a newbie. Some weeks ago, I decided to move some of my personal domains to gandi.net to test their services. I was quite optimistic and enthusiast, because of their services (lots of rare extensions), and their catch-phrase "no bullshit". Well, my experience was and it is still awful. To be kind.
Their customer service does not exist. You will always have to wait from 12 to 36 hours (up to 20... days!) to get an answer (about very easy topic, such as renewal duration, offersโฆ), and you can consider yourself lucky if you receive a standard reply. It is not possible to manage any support request nor change/add anything. Just send an email and wait.
Thatโs not all. As soon as they registered my first domain I lost my privacy whois. Itโs quite incredible because with that national authority, the privacy feature is set by default! I asked why that had happened and I simply got no answer for weeks. In the meanwhile, the domain was [read more...]

i have problem with ltd owner ship change.
i talked with several person but any time different wrong answer that never worked.
worst part they not familiar with they system. and don't have phone # at all.
right no my domain lock up for three month in the system becuse of gandi sas errors .
a simple transfer take more than four moth so far.
use other registrar or make sure you never need costumer support and stable system.

I have been hosted by Gandi for more than 1 year. Opposite to some reviews I am seeing here, I always got extremely fast and competent answers from the customer service, which was not the case at 1and1 where I was hosted previously.
The website runs perfectly and I never got a problem with it.
I do recommend them.

๐ They started scam on 10th anniversary, I got my promocode but till yet cant get my domain.
First they cancel order and wont accept promo, I contact their support they asked me to fill our contact info form, I filled and submitted but no positive response.
Next day they asked to send your ID card. What I got is type of scam, coz they did not mention id requirement at their contact info form.
Stay away from them.

Recently the web page has been changed from intuitive to extremely difficult to understand & manage.
Support is now so poor as to be completely non-existent.
All questions are answered by e-mailing a dictionary taken from the site "Self Help" instructions.
It is impossible to find the pages to redirect e-mails, to to redirect Web traffic or to change account details
The actual workings of the service is good - It is unfortunate that web-page interface prevents the user access to managing the service.
Requests for support simply are ignored.
