😁 Amazing Service!
I've been working with EMWD in some capacity for the past 7 years -- first as a mailman client for a non-profit and now as a small business owner, I refer all of my web design clients here for hosting.

Brian is always amazing (and patient), helpful, and never leaves you hanging! The services are reasonably priced, powered by the latest and greatest, and if there is something that you don't see, all you have to do is ask.

Like others, I have tried other hosts, but will forever be grateful to have found EMWD -- they are by far the best!

I don't have experience hosting or administering list-serves but with the services of EMWD, our organization has a professionally operated list-serve. The customer assistance is incredibly responsive (five stars) and the web interface is so easy to use, I have been able to manage our list successfully for years; and even create new ones with the help of EMWD. 😁 Highly Recommneded
In my over 20 years of running various websites, I've been with GoDaddy and Host Gator. Although Host Gator was a little better than GoDaddy, you are still a number.

EMWD was very helpful in getting me setup with my web hosting to the point that I've moved all of my websites to EMWD. Whenever anyone asks me to recommend a hosting provider, I point them to EMWD.

EMWD is affordable and there are many extras in the hosting you receive. Many of the features you get for free cost extra when you go with the "big guys."

EMWD is very responsive and I don't get frustrated with their support like I did with the other two big boys.

Do yourself a favor and get your hosting with EMWD. You won't regret it!

I have been a client of EMWD for more than 10 years and it has been a delightful growing process for both of us. I have learned a million "stupid things not to do in the .htaccess file. And they have fixed all my learning experiences, lol.
Brian at all times has been ethical, honest, prompt, and I have sent many friends to him and they have all been pleased as well.
This is a perfect hosting site for people who want more than the (stupid, prepackaged WP sites) usual low end. And don't have the time or budget to go wild. He's got all the right versions (old enough to be stable, new enough to not have security holes...so yeah. I've been and intend to continue being happy with his service.

😁 Many years ago, a web developer friend who was helping me make my first website suggested that I use EMWD for hosting, "to make sure you don't have any problems on that end." He was right. I've never had a problem, and all of my questions or requests have been answered quickly and helpfully. I tried another service once, because it was a little cheaper, but EMWD's professionalism, speed, and personalized service spoiled me. So now they do all of my hosting. Whether you are a professional with many different websites, like my friend, or a rank amateur like myself, you will be delighted with their service.

😁 Years ago, several of the websites I manage got hacked. I was using the big-time hosting companies at the time. I decided to move the hosting for many of my websites to EMWD. Since this time, not one of these websites have ever been hacked.
If you send a support request to EMWD you will get either a response or the solution within minutes.
One day I got a call from the CEO of EMWD (Brian). He was attending a course in Boston on hosting security that he paid $2000 to attend. That is the one of EMWD’s biggest assets. They keep up on what is happening. EMWD had me on https URLs before I even knew what SSL was.
Today the major hosting companies want $200 a year to get the same protection EMWD has been providing at this no extra cost for years.

😃 We moved to EMWD primarily because of their Mailman hosting service. We have two domains with a total of about 16 mailing lists. We also have two Linux VMs on which we run our web sites and other services, and an email hosting account supporting one domain.

EMWD may be a small shop, but uptime has been very, very good and support tickets are handled almost immediately. Brian has been very helpful on all issues, and his pricing has been extremely competitive.

😠 Unbelievably unprofessional. Once they have your domain you are trapped. When we tried to point the domain at our new website we had built an EMWD representative named "Brian" informed us that he would not help us "leave his company". This is absurd considering our intention was to leave the domain with them. The representative Brian then informed us that he would be hanging up, and did so after mocking our concerns. In all honesty it was the most disgusting interaction I have ever had with a business. RUN!

🗨 Here is our side of the story. The reviewer called us asking us to point the domain name to a new hosting service. We asked for some information to verify whether they had the authority to make such a request. They did not. So we informed this person to have the actual account holder file a support ticket with us requesting assistance. We did inform the person that the client has the tools to manage their own DNS via their EMWD account, and we would provide instruction to them on how to do that once we hear from them. The person then became argumentative which at that point I did end the phone conversation.

We did not mock the person's concerns. We do not trap clients' domains. The actual account holder is still with us and did in fact was able to point their domain name to their new hosting service without the need to contact us for assistance.

😠 This is an amateur hour shop with no real support. They have no dial in number, no way to coordinate support. Further more if you terminate contract with them, they will take your data offline immediately for spite, preventing you from migrating to another provider. Do not use these guys if you are doing anything real.

🗨 This client was very abusive to us both via our support ticket system and on the phone. The problem was we migrated his 3 mailing lists to our new cloud platform. We sent him two notifications via email regarding the migration and instructions to update his DNS to point his list subdomain to the new IP address. He did not receive those emails and filed a support ticket when he could not access his lists. This was our last reply to him:

" Hi *****,

Your mailman account has been migrated to our new cloud platform as per our 2 notifications emails we sent to you. Please make sure you can receive email from @emwd.com.

You will need to modify your A records (DNS) for lists.************.org to reflect the server migration. The IP address of the new server is *********. Your current hosting provider should be able to assist you with this change. Once your A record has been updated, please allow a few hours for DNS propagation.

😠 EMWD is deceptive and vindictive
I have retained EMWD for over 10 years. The last several have been rough. I knew I was paying a premium for services, but figured I would receive the customer service to warrant it. Not so. After a disappointing response to my query as to why my website was down, I decided to switch companies. When I informed Brian, he went ballistic. Called me names, accused me of delusional behaviors, locked me out of my account and stole my WHOIS information. I am in shock. My account is paid for a year and now I have to hire an attorney to get my domains back. Oh, and they are my children's. They don't even have a business yet. And he stole them. I've also learned never combine domain name and web host. Or this is what will happen.

🗨 This client's review is simply not the truth. They emailed me directly for a quote on redesigning their website. I asked them if they could actually use our support ticket system for communicating with us which they did. However they became upset that I asked to them to use our support ticket system. They were accustom to emailing me directly however we were growing and found that our support ticket system allowed us to handle the support needs of our clients more efficiently.

They filed the support ticket and I responded with a lengthy quote to redesign their website. They responded with this:

"> I have cancelled my work order and will be transferring my domain
> www.pharmascore.com. It has been over 10 years since we have been doing
> business together. Most of it has been good. However, the set of email

EMWD.com is a horrible web hosting service and web design service. They charge way to much for very little storage space you are better off going with godaddy.com
