😠 Terrible - RUN Fast
RUN if you are wanting to take the domain you registered with them, and have it hosted elsewhere. They basically can’t help you!
All their employees had to do was tell me I needed to buy a basic hosting plan for 2 months and then the DNS Manager would be available for the new hosting company. “
Instead, it took 4 days, numerous email communications, and 3 hours communicating with Chat, Telephone “support” ha!, and their Tech “support” via email. The staff are not properly trained to help people with their issues. RUN!!!
Oh, and you can’t buy privacy protection for your domain through them ( Or so I was told by phone “support”. I was put on hold for 20 minutes so she could come back with the answer to that question of whether they offer privacy service.
I am now inundated with phone calls, texts and emails from website developers.

😠 We have been customers with Blue Genesis for 21 (twenty one!!) years...
Our site was old-fashioned and we needed an upgrade badly. However, within our parameters Wordpress was not an option, and the prices for anything better too high. We have graciously thanked Blue Genesis for 21 years of service and we were told that, since we ended the contract with 7 more months to go, we might qualify for a refund. We are a completely non-profit peer to peer organisation that runs on donations. So the possible refund made us really happy. We have just heard that we do not get a refund. That is a real disappointment. After 21 years of loyalty one would expect that the refund would not be such an issue. Very disappointed.

😁 Their support team doing amazing work. They are always there when you need their help they assisted me when I was so clueless about how to proceed. I just raised ticket to get proper assistance. They guided me so clearly till my problem fully solved. I think they are really good choice from the suggestions I received for good hosting providers like Host gator, Domain racer and blue host. It was simply nice experience with them.

They look to be a reseller of megamailservers.com (USA?) virtual hosting services based out of Toronto Canada. Note: have seen a few resellers store fronts for megamailservers.com

😠 We began using the Bluegenesis VM Server account right around the beginning of their time as a company. At that time they were helpful, proactive and seemed to really care about their clients. That has dramatically changed. We have consistently reduced our account level and the number of sites hosted with Bluegenesis over the years due to ever decreasing service care and quality. As noted in some other reviews - now we get blamed for their mistakes. NOT recommended in any way now. It's too bad as we are a very loyal company but horrible service that causes us to lose clients cannot continue. Honestly, I'd rank lower if it was possible.

We've had nothing but problems with this company! Once we get one problem resolved other pops up. We finally closed our account because we were sick and tired of the wrong information, the problems and the lack of service! Their own staff doesn't know what the other people are doing much less their own procedures! They want to blame the customers for their poor service rather than fix the problems and retain clients!

😉 I have used them since 2002 and over the past few years have noticed increased problems with their ability to handle sites with SSL Custom SSL Certificates. On a number of occasions my sites have stopped working taking days to resolve with no explanation as to the cause or solution to the problem, just generic babble from their level 1 people about the "System Admins". In once case I had the same problem 2 weeks in a row. I will be moving all my sites away from them as they are unable or unwilling to tell me what has gone wrong.

😃 I am a reseller customer, transferred from another sold-out ISP, involunatrily. There were some problems, but to BG's credit they stuck with the resolution process for 6 months, until we finally resolved the problem. Then when it was billing time, they acknoeledged some of the inconvenience to my firm and my client, by defferring the bill with no penalty for 6 months, and then deducted a few misc service fees. So far they have done what is expected to retain my loyalty. What I DO really like about them as a reseller is there Acct Mgt support for high use customers and resellers. It is a bit unique with ISP's and saves me time each month. They help facilitate support, payments, and resolve minor technical issues (ocassionally). Their pricing is low, and their uptime is in the 96% range, and Customer Support is Good.
I WOULD DEFINETLY RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHER SMB's.
