I am a professional in I.T. since 1994.
Until 2007, I have had personal experience with 2 other hosting services (since 1998). Since a friend suggested me to ace-host.net, it is by far the most reliable, fast and with excellent 24/7 customer support (you get a response to any support level in less than 4 min. !!)
I have registered 7 other domains to my account and have never had any issue with their service, from DAY ONE!
Much suggested to any I.T. related PROFESSIONAL out there!

Stay away from these people! All the terrible reviews here are true!! They are definitely theives. They refuse to refund my money as well that they charged me even though I sent multiple emails asking to cancel the hosting. PLus, they cancelled the hosting. So, they are keeping my money for two years hosting yet I am getting nothing for it. Heed our warning. STay away from these people. It's not worth the headache if you ever want to cancel. Also, the hosting servers do not have 99.9% uptime like they would like you to believe. I had multiple problems with their hosting service which is why I left them in the first place and then 2 years later they charged me for a renewel and now won't give me that money back.

Very poor service. Never recommend this server to anyone. They are big time thief. My server is 5 days down. Also dont refund. Support takes 1 year to respond.

I have submitted probably over 100 support tickets in my 5+ years with Acenet. All of my questions have always been answered within 5-10 minutes, even on Sunday nights or VERY late weeknights! Any time i have had a problem, or i was confused about configuring something, the representatives have gone out of their way to help me get it right. This kind of support is unheard of, even outside of the webhosting service industry.
In terms of downtime, i have experienced it maybe twice in 5+ years. It has never caused me much concern.
I pay about $100 per year for their services, which is fantastic considering that i have 500 GB of webspace, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited domains (you read that right), unlimited SQL databases, etc.
I would not consider switching to another host just for the customer service alone. This company deserves recognition.

😉 I guess I've been with them since they started. about 2005. Yes, I've had some problems, in fact the only reason I'm even on this review site is that I am experiencing some downtime at a very crucial time for my business. I could be angry as all heck and it is not the first time that I've experienced some issues. But, I am one of the "lucky one's" I guess who seems to have just a fine experience with them. I have been angry sometimes when I paid late and they took forever to get me back on but in the end they have been a human presence in the world of machines. Unlike many people I guess I don't mind dealing with people even if it comes with its irritations. Remember I am writing this while being seriously inconvenienced by a downtime. Ace-net please get me back up soon and keep doing your best. I seem to be a veteran customer and in these years of being with you I found your service to be well worth the cheap price. Avoid like the plaque! Service is terrible! Also, they have fraudulent billing practices. They charged me 118.80 for a website I cancelled two years ago. I asked for a refund, but they refused even though I have not used their services for over three years. My site was set to not auto-renew plus I have proof of cancellation yet somehow that is not enough for them. They just want to keep your money. There is no reasoning with them. Just stay away! I reported them to the BBB, but it probably won't do any good. The only recourse I have is to tell as many people as I can about this terrible hosting company!

I dont know what server these uptime people measure but my ace-host.net server was up maybe 50% and out of that time another 10% was me having to fix something or restart a ace-host.net service..
I got what I paid for... a cheap ace-host.net server! the keyword being cheap..

they also hire techs to slow to think on there own.. these dolts asked me (on one of the many times the ace-host.net server was OFF and I called them..if I wanted it back on??) the guys also leave your server info unsecured so any joe blow can get it and login.. and MY favorite part is the near unstoppable auto-billing feature.. with its broken non-working features that go thru the motions yet fail to Un-subscribe you from ace-host.net broken service.
Brain Dail is a (manager?) dolt who could not code a html page using a wysiwyg editor.

😠 I purchased hosting with Acenet because of the research I performed on Hosting companies. I ended up going with Acenet because I read more pros than cons, however, my experience with Acenet was a complete nightmare.
First of all, I went through the whole signup process including the telephone verification. After waiting 24 hours, I submitted a support ticket because I hadn't received my dns info. I was told that I had failed the security test and they needed me to fax over my DL and Credit Card (Front & Back). I do not have immediate access to a fax machine therefore I just asked them to cancel my account, I would look elsewhere. They told me no problem, funds would not be captured from my credit card and my account would remain inactive until I logged in to activate it, which I never did.
I purchased hosting from a new provider the same day. Within 24 hours I logged onto my online bank and seen Acenet billed me for $9.95. I immediately submitted a support ticket and asked [read more...]

I have been with Ace Host for almost 4 years now and it's no secret that they had a rough and bumpy start during their first set of years in business. You can easily see this by searching through Hosting Review web sites for Ace Host. However, There is one main point that I would like to bring up right away to anyone reading this. I've noticed that when people are happy, satisfied with how things are going, and making money, they're certainly not going to take their precious time to go out and write a web hosting review on that web host. Now if we look on the flip side of this, someone who is angry/upset, maybe their information was deleted in a server crash, and their not making any money on their web sites, then by all means their going to go out of their way to get revenge if they can in some way. How would one person do that? Simple, they attempt to put a dent in that companies business bad writing bad reviews about their company name. Sounds fair enough anyways [read more...]
