The SSL Basis certificate is a standalone solution for securing communication on external servers. Priced at 3 € per month with annual billing including 19 % VAT and no setup fee, it protects a single domain (www and non‑www) and activates the browser padlock symbol. Coverage includes $500,000 warranty, simple activation and management, domain validation (DV) for authentication and 256‑bit encryption. The certificate works across major browsers and can be ordered through the united‑domains account.

For all united‑domains products there is a 30‑day free test period and high‑performance infrastructure hosted in Germany with a 99.98 % uptime guarantee. Plans include SSL certificates for secure connections, modern security such as DDoS protection and daily backups, AI‑assisted site building tools and responsive templates, depending on product. Customers can manage services easily in their account, upgrade or downgrade at any time, and rely on German data privacy standards. Payment is possible by credit card, PayPal or bank transfer, and support is available via email or phone during business hours.

United-Domains (united-domains.de) is a long-standing German registrar and hosting brand founded in 2000, ISO-27001 certified, eco-friendly (renewable energy), and part of the 1&1 group since 2008. They report 300,000+ satisfied customers and run a dedicated reselling arm (united-domains Reselling GmbH, 2003). Their core strength is domains: more than 850 TLDs with Anycast DNS and a polished customer area for portfolio management.

Beyond domains, they sell Shared Hosting & Managed WordPress, email hosting, a website builder, and SSL. Shared hosting uses SSD storage, multiple PHP branches (7.2/7.3/7.4), databases, SFTP on all tiers and SSH on the top tier, plus bundled SSL and protections against malware/DDoS. Email and shared hosting are 100% ad-free.

Managed WordPress adds daily security scans, DDoS protection, marketing claims of "up to 5× faster" servers, automatic updates, WooCommerce support, AI onboarding, and a stated 99.98% uptime target. The website builder offers AI text assistance, 100+ templates, responsive output, SEO tooling, multilingual rendering (up to ~60 site languages), and a developer mode (HTML/CSS).

They also sell standalone SSL (including "SSL for your own servers") and operate a separate reseller channel at ud-reselling.com.
A notable limitation is language/localization on the .de site: the primary experience is German-only; their English site (uniteddomains.com) focuses on domains and does not mirror the full hosting portfolio.
